Welcome!

“We are all crazy. Stay as far away from us as possible. Unless you like that sort of thing. In which case, come see us when we get to your town.”

Confusion Only

We are Confusion Only, a San Antonio, Texas-based band. Our small group of accomplished musicians has been playing together for the past year, performing both at local venues and at popular clubs in Chicago and St. Louis.

We play original music written by our fearless leader, Steve (guitar/vocals). Oscar provides backing vocals and beats on the drums, and our newest member, DJ, holds it all together on the bass. Our style is a unique blend of rock, power-pop and vintage rock with influences from bands of the 60's and 70's.

Our debut record was recorded at Land of Sound Recording and G.O. Recording Studio, and produced by Squid Records.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out our site. Feel free to look around, listen to some tunes, peruse the merchandise and check out our calendar for upcoming shows. Our debut tour will kick off in the Northeast and work its way down the East Coast before heading West. Be sure to check back often to find out when we'll be playing in a town near you!

Hypocrite - In A Circle - Hanging Around Myself Too Long - Somehow

HYPOCRITE
When I had diamonds and pearls
The finest sheets on which you did curl
You drank from my cup, filled yourself up
You said you'd give me the world

Chorus :
I think you're a hypocrite, and no
I can never quite see through you
Do as I say not what I do

When I had not yet arrived
You were telling a lie
But not to my face, you gave me some space
Could not look in my eyes

Chorus :
I think you're a hypocrite, and no
I can never quite see through you
Do as I say not what I do

When I was barely alive
Almost did not survive
I tried to get up, or just get around
But you held me down

Chorus :
I think you're a hypocrite, and no
I can never quite see through you
Do as I say not what I do

IN A CIRCLE
You are so unraveled
It seems that you will never find peace
Oh but you are so widely travelled
And so well versed in your histories

Chorus:
I am spinning in a circle
This could be the last time
Always the first in line
Going out of my mind

You are so outspoken
You have not left room for me to breathe
Oh but in your mind you are so broken
And so very hard to please

Chorus:
I am spinning in a circle
This could be the last time
Always the first in line
Going out of my mind

I'm singing this song for no one
It's just ringing in my mind
Send a message
Better join me in the race

HANGING AROUND MYSELF TOO LONG
Sometimes I feel myself sliding
Got word the family was fighting
Some find their conflicts all by themselves
And find their crisis exiting

Chorus:
Been hangin around myself too long
Been hangin around myself too long

Well I left all that behind me
I let my good friends guide me
I tried to take myself lightly (oh so heavy)
But myself had to break free

Chorus:
Been hangin around myself too long
Been hangin around myself too long
And I've been gone

So now I find myself sinking
In water not fit for drinking
Who am I to put my thoughts into words
Oh man, what was I thinking

Chorus:
Been hangin around myself too long
Been hangin around myself too long
And I've been gone

SOMEHOW
Chorus:
Somehow
Somehow
Somehow, your world is going to crumble to the ground

You try to think of me as servant
I will orchestrate your fall
Your steely gaze was once observant
My rust has nailed them to the wall

Chorus:
Somehow
Somehow
Somehow, your world is going to crumble to the ground

You scan the streets for hours and hours
The sunlight fights the shadows for your floor
You once thought that your silence brought you power
No footstep brings the knock upon your door

Chorus:
Somehow
Somehow
Somehow, your world is going to crumble to the ground

So you stared at me right through your eyelids
You thought that it was something I had hidden from you
Could it be that you had been mistaken
Could it be something that you did, that you did

Chorus:
Somehow
Somehow
Somehow, your world is going to crumble to the ground
